Magic in the garden...
Iâve had an idea.
The Good Omens fandom is a wonderful space full of creative people with great ideas, but sometimes things get lost in the shuffle. Itâs not a great feeling when youâve worked hard on something and it doesnât get the attention that youâd have liked it to, but unfortunately, that is a thing that happens! Itâs not anyoneâs fault, but it is sort of in the nature of fandom to be a bit chaotic.
Given that this particular fandom is, at my assessment, one in which members truly care about one another, I thought Iâd give something a try.
If you have written something for the Good Omens fandom that didnât see as much positive feedback as you would have liked, will you please post the title of your work, the rating, a brief summary, and a link in the notes?
I know what itâs like to feel disheartened by a lack of positive feedback to something that required much effort (not to mention courage to post!) on your part. Donât be afraid to be proud of what youâve done.
And if youâre not a fic writer but are interested in participating, might I ask you to read some of the stories that are shared here? The more people know about this, the more we can help encourage one another!
Itâs a strange, dark world out there right now, folks. Maybe we can give each other a little bit more light.
[Notes on this: for the purposes of this particular post, please try to keep this to Good Omens content only. If youâd like to start something like this for a different fandom, please go ahead! The more the merrier. Also, I know that there are creators in this fandom who are artists and podfic-makers and a myriad of other things, but for the sake of simplicity, Iâd like to start with written content. If youâd like to start something like this for art or fanvids or anything else, please do so (or let me know, and I will!)]
I entered into an art contest sort of thing and my poem got picked for their exhibition!Â
you know what I like doing?

iâm sad and missing my summer job so hereâs some of my favorite parts about that place
some of the crews (the ones that were more spread out) got walkie-talkies so they could communicate with each other and with the front desk. One of the truck crew guys, whenever he had the walkie-talkie, would comm the front desk at 4:20 to ask for a time check
someone started a rumor that none of the chamber crew could swim? This is only really noteworthy because. we were on an island.
we got daily announcements at meals that started out with the date and time and people would usually cheer wildly after the date was read out
the snack bar had an employee secret menu consisting of the âfuck my shit up famâ frappe, where they would put whatever the hell they wanted in a glass and blend it up and you would drink it and you would like it
the dish pit once had their speaker remotely disconnected after playing dog barking sounds for a solid hour
people referred to their days off as âDODsâ and I assumed it stood for âday off-dutyâ which, okay, kind of needlessly wordy, but sure. I later found out itâs actually dumber than that. It stands for âday off dayâ. why are we like this
we did a bunch of seasonal-themed parties over the summer (christmas, halloween, etc.). In the past, we were told, there was Kesha Party, which was banned because it became unacceptably glittery. This year we had Pride Party, which had a pretty glittery aesthetic, and a lot of Kesha was played, but it was a Completely Different party and therefore Fine
speaking of parties, we had a John Party, organized by the five Johns who worked there. There was a costume contest where people dressed up as their favorite John. That dinner, all the servers made new nametags and introduced themselves to their tables as John. It was truly a moment of everyone operating on one braincell, and that braincell was named John.
My mom's agreed to call me Jack, so I'm kinda over the moon
