Morgan: @mxmorganmorph

Morgan and Ollie, go together like peanut butter and jelly. Peanut butter and chocolate. Ollie has never once felt so comfortable around someone. Ollie has found that they can truly be who they want and need to be when with them. If Morgan wasn’t in OIlie’s life, frankly they don’t know what they would do without them. 

Elsa: @magicalelsaarendelle

Elsa was part of the first family to accept Ollie in Redwood. They wouldn’t have a job if it wasn’t for her kindness and generosity. Ollie knows they can go to Elsa for anything, and she would do what she could to help them. The support system they have with their rink family, is one that they will cherish until the end of days. 

Thomas: @omalleyy

Thomas is exactly what OIlie believes an older brother is like. They know they can go to them in the middle of the night when they are having a bad day. Or when they just want someone to be goofy with and eat cookies. Ollie has a hard time sometimes expressing how they feel when the bad days come around, but with the help of Thomas, they have found another way to express it through music. It’s a skill that they have yet to master, but they know Thomas would never leave them or let them down. 

Paulo: @paulo-pup

Paulo and PJ are what Ollie believes to be their forever family. Even if they don’t ‘join’ it legally. Ollie treats PJ like their own nephew, always there to take care of him when his father needs a break, ready to teach him all the fun things in life. Paulo, much like Thomas, is what Ollie considers to be an older brother type. Even being around Paulo’s family, they feel like they are at home. Though it sometimes isn’t the same as what they want, Paulo and PJ are sort of their forever home.

Maximillion and Billy: 

At the head of the family, we have Georgia May Bug (Cycily Tyson) she is Ray’s grandmother and even at 94 years old still has the final say when it comes to just about everything. 

Her son is Walker Mac Bug (Morgan Freeman). He married his highschool sweetheart Hennrietta Winthrop (Alfree Woodard) and they say the rest was history. 

Their eldest child is Antonia Etta Bug (Dani Gurira) the major success in the family, first one to graduate college with honors, she is a lawyer in the big city. Next down is Raymond Bug, everyones favorite neighborhood jazzy boy. 

Cedric Percy Bug (Shamier Anderson) is the next in line. Followed in the way of fame and became a print model. Marigold Loretta Bug (Rene Elise Goldsberry) a self proclaimed ‘favorite child’ is a teacher.

Buster Hayes Bug and Britne Opal Bug (Dayo Okeniyi & Kiana Lede) are the twins. Buster still lives around at home while he’s in school and Britne has her own trailer on Ray’s property and comes and goes as she pleases. 

Ambrose Walker Bug (Demetrius Joyette) is the baby boy of the family, and gets rightfully treated as such, in his final year of high school he is set to go to college on a full football scholarship. 

Describe your character’s biological family. Do they know their family? Were they raised by them?

Ollie has two biological older siblings, that they have never met. Their mother Raina Walt was never married and has children by different fathers and their father, Clifton Malo has no idea that Ollie exists. Ollie grew up in the foster care system. 

What was your character’s relationship like with their parents? Their siblings?

Ollie doesn’t have any kind of relationship with their birth parents. And they are unaware that they have older siblings. 

If they weren’t raised by their parents, who raised them? Do they consider the people that raised them to be their family? 

Ollie bounced between several different foster homes before finding themselves in Redwood. Their last foster home they were in, was the closest they would get to a family, though unconventional it was all they had. 

Found family can be just as important, if not more important than a biological family. Describe your character’s found family, and what their found family means to them.

Overall, how did the idea of family affect your character.

Ollie has dreamed of nothing but having a family their entire life. Wanting a mother to brush their hair in the morning, teach them how to manage their natural curls. To have an over protective father who didn’t want them to date until they were thirty, and even then it would be a stretch. To have siblings to go to when their parents were being difficult. Just a friend for when the nights got to be too much. Ollie above anything, wants something that is theirs. They want to be able to say: That’s my family and they love and want me.

Thinking about the future, do they want to make a family of their own? What would that look like to them?

Ollie would love to have a family of their own. A couple adopted kids, show a little sprout the love and care they had received as a wee one. Though, they wouldn’t let them bounce from home to home, they wouldn’t let them worry at night where the next bed they would sleep in would be. Ollie believes they could be a good parent, just needs the chance. 

Family Template

Mother: Raina Walt (FC: Rochelle Aytes)

Raina was young when she gave birth to her first child, Dmitri, his father unknown. A year later, little Mini was born, again by a man who the woman no longer remembers.  Raina was content with her life, raising two children on her own was hard, but she managed to do it.  Then, little Ollie came into the world. Caring for two kids was hard enough on Raina, so to now have a third under her charge, the woman was at a breaking point. So, she made a choice. Stealing away in the middle of the night, she left little Ollie infront of a church in Alaska, not wanting any sort of connection to Ollie or their father. Raina packed up her family and left. Without so much as a note to the babies father or any of her own family, Raina fled. Making a new different life for two of her kids in another place.

Father: Clifton Mallo (FC: Scott Foley)

Clifton Mallo is Ollie’s biological father. He is a high powered lawyer who fell in love with a woman from the wrong side of the tracks. He didn’t care that she already had children when they met, he was infatuated with her and the home she’d created for her kids. Clifton had his heart set on proposing. When the time came that he wanted to pop the question, he found his heart broken when she had vanished without so much of a goodbye. He’s spent years trying to find her and the kids, unaware that Ollie is out in the world.
