If you’re going to write a fantasy fic that has locations “inspired” by real life places, do your research. And I don’t mean google names and wing it. Some cultures take things like names and meanings very seriously, and it’s just ridiculous to see something like the name of a place, that isn’t an actual name. If you’re going to include the culture be accurate to the culture.
