Let’s get out of here had never been such welcome words as they were tonight. He almost thought he had to stop letting Hans drag him to these things - he always had more to drink than he would have liked to admit. But it was almost worth it for that secret smile passed between them, Hans ushering him out toward the elevator. He smiled a little easier, and once the elevator doors closed the privacy was taken full advantage of until they reached the ground floor.
The air was cool on his face when they stepped out the front doors and headed to wave down a cab. Adam climbed in first, getting as comfortable as he could in a cab at whatever hour this was. Hans was in beside him soon enough and he could finally relax - for a few seconds. No sooner had Hans’s door closed than the one on the other side opened and he blinked, turning and looking at whoever it was that was trying to get in, accent thicker around his words. “S’one’s already taken.”
