Here is my contribution for the Portal Secret Santa 2021 exchange! Written for @nerdstreak​ - it is supposed to be set in the universe of her fic, “New Moon”. I’m over the moon that you liked it so much! nn;

Title: Paperweights Rating: T Characters/ship: Wheatley X Hannah ( @nerdstreak ’s character) Summary: Wheatley does not like participating in work Secret Santa exchanges because he always gets junk. But there is another reason he doesn't like it, he just did not know that until he decided to participate with his labmate, Hannah Stella.

The robot/human imagines are probably supposed to be for imaging your f/o with you in real life, but regardless I prefer your version of robot x robot! Genuinely! Human x Robot is cute and all but with what you do, you and your f/os are able to understand each other in a way no one else is able to.

Like, take Wheatley for example(even if he half counts because he's a human put into a robot /lh). Wheatley and your s/i, Hannah, joined Aperture with some ideas in mind. Wanting to create, wanting to help, wanting to explore their passions. It's what they bonded over, it's what got them to be friends and even kind of fall in love. Then, Hannah is put inside of Dell and loses everything. Her memories, her likes and dislikes, you can argue she lost her humanity. And it destroys Wheatley, so much so he ends up willingly going through the same thing because "what's the point anymore?"

Then, despite all odds they find each other, despite it all they go through the tests and slowly regain what they lost, even saving their colleagues in the process. Who else can they relate to in that aspect? Who else can they talk to about it? Sure there's co-workers and there's Caroline, but no one gets it as well as their partner does. It's an experience that really only them share.

I can list so many more examples, but you get the point. It's such a deep important bond that all your robo f/os share and it's truly beautiful. It's one of my favorite things and it makes me so excited whenever you explore it.
