Ever since I started writing Hank x Connor proofs there was one area of the game that I was combing over and over again. This being Hank’s house. While there was no trace of family other then Cole’s picture to give any kind of clue at all to Hank’s past, there was one thing that looked very odd to me....and that was this picture hanging alone in a corner to the right of Connor:

I was racking my brain for the longest time trying to figure out what this meant. But now I think I know and this was only after analyzing the symbolism of the kitchen table. Yes, I know that sounds weird but let me explain. 

In the picture above there are 3 faces. Starting on the left we have one that only the face is blocked out as you can see the shoulders and neck, then in the middle we have the entire head blocked out and finally on the far right we have a face with only the eyes blocked out. 

 This is again steeped in double symbolism. I was thinking this was just a family picture as Hank would be the one that is blinded by guilt with only the eyes crossed out, Cole would be the one who is completely darkened as he is dead, and the mother was the one with the entire face blocked out because we don’t know her identity.  While this seems to be true as this is the ONLY family photo in the entire house, there is more evidence to suggest that this could also be Hank, Cole, and Connor.....

So Hank is still the one blinded  but this time not by his guilt although that does play a crucial role too but by HIS HATRED OF ANDROIDS..., Cole is still the completely blackened one only this time Connor is the one with this face blocked out. This makes sense because Connor also DOES NOT KNOW HIS IDENTITY. And also Hank would be blinded and not be able to see Connor’s face, or identity,  because of his hatred of androids. The place of the mother would be obscured because he would never see past Connor being just a machine.

This is backed up by a simple interaction that you might not have thought too much about or had overlooked....

When Connor enters Hank’s kitchen you see Hank unconscious laying beside the table and you assume that he fell out of his chair as one chair was tipped over when Connor entered the house. This is not the case. This was in fact NOT the chair that Hank was sitting in as his position on the floor tells other wise. His head would not be level with the seat of the chair if he had fell from that chair.

 Instead the position Hank was seated at would have been the one on the opposite side where his burger and Pineapple passion soda is sitting....

It is important to note here that there is 3 chairs. For the 3 family members of course.... So I am going to say that Cole’s chair is the one where you can find his picture as this makes logical sense.

So if Hank’s chair and Cole’s chair is still standing then the logical thing to assume is that the mother’s chair is the one that fell over. This is important because this is the seat at the table that belonged to HANK’S SPOUSE.

And what does Connor do?

He stands the chair again to an upright position. This is symbolizing that the mother/ love partner is again going to come into Hank’s life and it is Connor who is going to take that role as he is the one to “pick up the fallen chair”. This is also Connor “taking his seat” at the family table.... This also makes too much sense as Hank’s chair is still standing alongside Cole’s. Cole is dead yes but still in Hank’s heart and on Hank’s mind.  The mother however? He didn’t even mention her through out the entirety of the game....And how does this relate to the 3 pictures? I believe that Hank was looking for someone after a “fall out” (fallen chair) with his wife and in this way it also makes sense that he “wouldn’t know the identity of that person yet”  and also the black that cover’s Cole  (Or the reason for Cole’s death) is covering the face of the THIRD person in the family.... This meaning his hatred of androids being the thing that “blocks his view” of seeing an opportunity for a new spouse as that same blackness is covering Hank’s eyes....

This also does reflect that Connor doesn’t know who he is yet....

Also the table has food on it in 2 places...Hanks meal and in front of the fallen chair... this is also symbolism at its best because the food that is set there is two plain pieces of bread.....ready to be made into any sandwich the seat holder desires....

Alright so many of you who know me and what this blog is all about can recognize that when I support a shipping I go over the facts about what actually happened in the game/series and I argue not as a basis for “I’m right, your wrong” argument but to solidify and compare evidences based on canon. There is never any hate for the other side of things. So with that in mind, my next subject that I would like to tackle is actually one with A LOT of standing evidence that is also quite controversial.....Hank x Connor from Detroit Become Human.

I think I’ll start at the beginning by introducing that the idea of android “intimate partners” and “cross relationships” was an actual underlying subject in the actual game. This was never actually said outright in the game but was slipped into side discussions and magazines within the games. With things like “my husband made an android pregnant” and “android sex is better” This leads me to ask why was it slipped in and why wasn’t it addressed? Or...was it?

Still talking about magazines I want to bring up the fact that during Chapter 18 Russian  Roulette when you are waiting for Hank to dress you are allowed to freely roam about the house and look at various things (actually this is your objective because Connor is curious about Hank’s life) and on the floor of Hank’s bedroom I found something quite curious....

a double sided magazine. This is significant for more then one reason. The first being it has 2 sides. The first, or cover, when you pick it up says “Screening for depression, Time to pull the plug” it is only after you flick to the second magazine that you see the article “Tainted love, sales of android ‘intimate partners’ exploding” This is important and very symbolic because of the fact that this was in HANK’s bedroom of all places and one article talks about depression and GETTING RID of technology. This is putting in perspective Hank’s “hatred of androids” but when you peel back the facade (cover) and see the second article this points to what is actually underneath. The article, like Hank himself, is two sided. He is faking his hatred of androids because he needs something/someone to blame for Cole’s death. In fact he even says this to Connor if you go down the right road of choices. 

To go even further into the article...if we actually read the “Tainted love” section it specifically says “Cyberlife initially focused on urban singles to buy its models” This is making the connection to Hank as he is indeed an “urban single.” Was Hank thinking about getting an android? He must have been lonely and in need of human companionship, living in that house with only his dog to give comfort. So I think finding this magazine was a clue into Hank’s actual wants and feelings and he may have been thinking about getting an android ‘intimate partner’ for company but wasn’t sure about how it would go down....

So Clancy is on board! He replies “No” to the question...”Would you consider Connor Hank’s son though” So this is in fact a piece of HankCon proof (combined with the 2 roses 🌹🌹) What we have here is a fan saying “Hey Connor and Hank has a father son relationship and its canon!” Then Gabriel R actually asks Clancy Brown about it and he says “NO”
