My only consolation in the back half of the series might just be imagining what might have been had Arkham Asylum never come into the picture. They kind of give me Xia Ling x Razor Fist vibes — my Shang-Chi OTP — and I am down for that.

But the penultimate episode left me in this whiplash position where I could not be any more convinced of Oswald Cobblepot being a piece of shit, for what he did to his brothers — every bit the psychopath the public was convinced to be instead Sofia Gigante Falcone — but the two of them are still firmly to me soul mates. Such conflict. (Also, am I delulu, as the kids say, to think there was still a softness in his tone in addressing her on the phone…and I think something more than just placating as having his mother in her custody, as he pulled no punches with Maroni including verbally.) That is his motherfucking wife running around and every ambition of his on this show has been to me small potatoes. She should have always been of import. And certainly not for fucking over.
