Ka Uhi #Kakau is coming to Dallas! @kelii_makua is a native #Hawaiian cultural #tattoo practitioner. He was recognized as "Kahuna Ka Uhi," a priest of tatooing, through a solemn ceremony that has not been performed in Hawaii for over 200 years. He is currently the only Hawaiian to hold this title. He and his crew from Ka Uhi on Oahu will be here in Dallas sharing the spirituality and art of the Hawaiian kakau with us for October 26th through November 3rd. Getting tattooed in this way is a truly rare experience and can be powerfully transformative. We encourage you to take part if you are able even if it is only to come watch for a bit. Because the tools they use are all hand made and there is a limit to how much they can travel with there is a minimum of $500 for these pieces.
