When your parents come to visit and offer to take you out for lunch, you're thinking; where's nice? Not, how expensive is it? I searched before they came for places with a gluten free menu however couldn't decide so just made a spontaneous decision on the day of where to go for food. Turns out we found somewhere nice that wasn't expensive at all! On the top floor of trinity shopping centre I saw the restaurant 'Handmade Burger Co.' and of course assumed this wouldn't even be an option unless I got a plain burger with no bun.. But I was completely wrong! The picture of the menu above is a FULL gluten free menu so as you can imagine it took me forever to decide what I wanted. So many options that I'm not used to having. I decided to go for a classic beef cheese burger and added smoky bacon. As well as the burger, due to the big portion sizes, I was able to share sweet potato fries with my mum rather than having to get one each! With the gluten free burgers, they put your chosen fillings on your plate and keep the bun wrapped up separate so that you are confident what you're eating is gluten free. Overall it was super tasty and with 25% student discount was very reasonable pricing! Next time I go I'm going to make sure I look at the menu first so I don't spend quite as long analysing all my options and don't keep the people I'm with waiting... Handmade Burger Co.
