It's a rainy saturday morning and I decided to stay in to finish some paperwork. Feeling all in and at my wits' end, I took out this book from my library to aid me--- a book I bought during the first month of my review just to complete my set... and aid me now, it did. More than its contents of legal theories, a simple note aided me the most; A note I've found written on its very first page. And its author? Not Riano. 🙂 And it reads: "Janice, Read this book with humility, admitting your inadequacy and expressing your desire to be taught. Empty yourself of all sense of pride. Whatever is in your cup, pour it all out. Start empty... So that when knowledge comes, you will be ready to fill your cup to the brim. Do not forget, you are here to learn. Acknowledge that you do not know. My dear, prepare to be taught. When November comes, drink your cup. Your old friend, Janice 5/5/15 P.S. To God be all the glory from whom all knowledge and wisdom comes." Funny how I felt like I've just been schooled by the non-lawyer me by reminding me how to surrender.
