Heck, the first thing I told him, courting me was "Don't buy me flowers. Don't give me choc'lates". I understand the struggle Kenneth went through to please me because I literally am so hard to please... like you have to rack your brain and heart off to be able to strum the strings in my heart. (My friends could attest I am not exaggerating) My love language does not put emphasis on material things or tradition. I abhor tradition. I'd rather be wooed in a way where Ken puts a part of his soul in it. Ken could give me a rock and if the rock has a story of love to tell, I'd keep it. He had written me cards (cards he made himself) and arts-and-crafts (which he also made), trying to live up to my caprices. But ken has find ways to revise the traditional for me. He brought me flower once, 5 years into our relationship. I had just woken up, he stood on my bedside, roses in hand...
