I’ve now spent two days looking for fabric for my Jack Frost cosplay, and I’ve found and bought almost everything for the clothing… …except the blue sweater fabric for his hoodie. How damn HARD can it be, finding that perfect shade of blue? Apperantly REALLY damn HARD. D:

In worst case, I will have to look for white sweater fabric, and then dye it by hand. That is, if I find that perfect shade of blue. Not navy blue. Not baby blue Not neon blue. Not sky blue.

But closer to royal/cobalt blue without being too dark, too grey-ish, nor too light.

Also, the fabric I bought for jack’s pants might be a shade lighter than original, so I might need to dye it a shade darker too. But be very careful. I wonder if you can mix fabric dye with lots of water, and therefor get just a tiny change in color. The fabric that will be used for Jack’s pants is faux suede. I looked real hard, but I just couldn’t find leather and faux leather in a beige/light brown shade, with a worn look to it. Perhaps, in the future, when I have more experience in sewing, I will buy some leather, and have the skills to turn the fabric into looking worn out.

…Honestly though, what is Jack’s pants even supposed to be made off? To me, my guess is they’re made of leather… But what animal? Cow? Sheep? I have no idea. The mystery that is Jack’s pants.

I know you’re likely frustrated but really, your health does come first! And we’ll all wait for as long as it takes so take your time <3 Also, this is your blog, you’re allowed to whine that’s totally okay you know ^^

SUPER frustrated. I am terrible at actually putting my health first, even though I pay really good lip service to the idea of it and am a huge proponent of it for others (eh, I think that’s that ‘repeat it to others until I internalise it myself’ thing).

Very frustrating, unfortunately. I usually like to stay quiet about these things (except in the tags really), but I’ve been getting hammered on the health front for a few months. I’m starting to think I should maybe sometimes use this blog to ramble a bit about real life. I mean... it’s allowed, right? *squints at Tumblr in suspicion*

Aw sweetie, I'm so sorry you aren't well at the moment. I wish I could offer more than e-hugs and possibly a chat if you ever feel the need.
