Host Gillian Pensavalle talks about moving the signed Hamilton book from her apartment to get it signed by guests who appeared virtually during the pandemic, during a discussion with Alex Horwitz, director of Hamilton America (at 45:45).

Gillian: It’s so valuable though. I don’t want to take it. I’m scared to take it out of my apartment. Everyone has signed it, it is such a cool thing. People have drawn hearts all over Jonathan Groff’s face. Nothing can happen to this thing. 

Today I entered the lottery with a friend who is a seasoned veteran (i.e. she had entered the Hamilton lottery before and the website already had her contact information.) She rolled her eyes at my youth and naivety, but I signed up and forced my entire family to also sign up for the lottery. We received a total of five “Try again” emails, but man, was it worth it for those few seconds of hope.
