The demon’s golden eyes were fixated on the man’s face. Not even an ounce of annoyance seemed to come into sight even after he had called her a monster. She continued to stare deep into his eyes. It almost seemed as if she were looking right into his very being, trying to decipher his emotions.
She then lowered her gaze and thereupon, her face adopted a compassionate expression. Her body took on a posture that would normally give her followers a sense of kindness and warmth and she joined both of her hands as if she were about to pray for his soul.
“Oh, dear boy, what have they done to you to make you believe or even think that you are a monster?”
She calmly approached the dark-haired stranger and said with a rather concerned tone in her voice,
“I can sense it… Your anger.”
All of her blabbering were simple conjectures she had arrived to after he had spat out those words to her. However, she stood by them. She took another step towards him.
“You are right about one thing… Your soul can be saved. I can help you with that…”
