Halone be praise that it was still reasonable enough to consider it an auspicious start to a new life, especially now that she was acquitted for regicide. It seems to him that while she was willing to travel, she was reluctant to visit Ul’dal outside official guilds and Adder business. Wariness had made her cautious enough to wear her paltry rank and what little weight a Fortemps ward had as a shield of sorts.

But that was not why they were up on the roof his office in Camp Dragonhead. It took some convincing, perhaps a bit of guilt tripping to sway her into this silly endeavour. His enthusiasm can be rather overwhelming for the quiet Miqo’te. Though her comrades were still unaccounted for, whatever little victories they can score, take it they will.

So here on his roof, with her in her tabard of black with silver and red trimmings, she looked every ilm a War Bard, He remembered the way she fought, raining hellfire in a small enclosed space to defend her loyal comrade. The tranquil rage of the Fury Incarnate.

Save for the feathery winged bow she now wields. He had requested it instead of the said nefarious and intimidating flaming bow used in the trial. Her elegant winged bow represents hope. Hope taking flight. Hope sprouting for Ishgard. Hope that perhaps they could be something more.

“Thancred.” Urianger called, but instead of answering he hurried to Hylnyan’s side.

“I… done what I can…. I don’t know how long she would hold!” Ryne looked to him as if he had all the answers. "We can't stay here regardless." “Thancred! I…”

Thancred had Ryne help arrange Hylnyan onto his back. He almost cursed aloud when he realized she was lighter than he had remembered.

“Alisaie! Cut us a path down! Alphinaud back her up!” “Right!” the twins answered in one voice. “Thancred!”

“Shtola, cover my back,” “Of course.” “Ryne, stay close to me just in case. Forget the bow, the exterior's an oft-used glamour.” “Right.” The girl answered back firmly, trying hard to fight back tears. The stakes were high, they had fought Lightwardens together but Hylnyan as one would be a horrific outcome.

“Thancred please! I didn’t-“ “Not now Urianger. If anything happens to Hylnyan, seeking forgiveness would be the least of your worries. If there’s even anyone left to seek it from.” He said grimly, giving a shrug to ensure his passenger is in place, there was a faint crackle of light from underneath the eye patch that she wearing. Whatever gods that were watching out for her till now, he hoped that they still do.

“Alisaie! Go! Now!” he snapped.

With a firm set of her jaw and tearing her eyes away from them she flew towards the exit with her brother at her heels. He followed, one step at a time into unknown territory.

Oh yeah, of course Thancred knows her weight. Yugiri gave Hylnyan, Yda and Thancred and whoever interested in parkour training sessions before and after bloody banquet a specialized training session. Most of the physical DPS and tanks were game enough to join. One session probably include stacking like a deck of cards.

And Emet, each time he goes "Light that guides, light that burns" he's invoking my Azem's name - Helen as a blessing or a curse. Partly why I think his speech translate into Vanu Vanu

Aka but that's usually because healers tend to end up standing near my Bard and my Bard tends follows healers when not panicking out of a AOE circle. I need to go check things out as to whether Bard and Astrologian or other healers mesh well together. And further guilt trip Urianger.

Context. While on the First my WoL picks Ryne for light parties over Alisaie to give the former battle experience as well as the chance to fight alongside Dadcred. And since Ryne is technically doing WoL's job on the First. There was no need to coddle her and papa would agree. Can't double gunbreaker for lols so am usually an overleveled Bard

My Miqo'te dislike Urianger. but I notice how he moves from AOEs and mechanics, especially useful when I can't spot them in time. I can't see Ryne and I can't see Alisaie who shoots around the screen at times. Hence this grudging teamwork between my WoL and Urianger. Not sure why i don't pick Alphinaud.

Yes Urianger, you piece of Chocobo sh-- You have two people to atone to and one is vindictive as hells. And since she has to sing for you, it will be in her screechiest pitch ever. I need Exarch and G'raha to pop by and see how they do.

** I don't know what to say other than this line left her with self worth issues (update as of 6.5 - DRK quest can't fixed their relationship. Can't fix him but can change the way she deals with him ). To be treated like a pawn and nothing more than a weapon of light. To do all that is asked and be treated with such condescendence.

Trying to get her to accept and glorifying her potential death like a cult leader. I dislike how much he tend to choose someone's death as the way forward. It pretty much goes against her values and she question his morals.

"But A Smile Better Suits a Hero…" It actually pisses me off that he said that to her. That's the one that makes me wonder. "Do you see the hero or the person?" Coming from the one who originally said it, it sounds more like a last request. Coming from Urianger, it smacks of chocobo shit.

This would be the straw that broke the chocobo's or Amaro's back. If there ever was a time that would make her become a Light Warden, this be it. Burn everything in the Light and take the fight to the Source. WoL Lightwarden vs Scions fight where? Dang it Elidibus.

A good chunk the anger in Dark Knight issues that she has, mostly comes from this.

Granted my thees and thous aren't quite there but "Does thou understandth the words that cometh from mine mouth" every time Urianger opens his. Can't help but wonder if he does it confuse people on purpose. Talking over the head of a rural Mqio'te like that. On that note does his words get more flowery when he's more likely to lie, confound, confuse?

Somehow I wonder if the Aetheric Siphon he created was meant to be used against her just in case she turns on him or something.

The amount of duplicity and the willingness to use others as pawns in the name of the greater good. Damm storyline would have been different. Actions and consequences dude.

What gave him the right to decide for Minifilia even if she would have agree in the first place? No room for alternatives. And no time for acceptance. Did she accept her fate before or after being trapped and becoming more spirit and less person? (need to find this part with The Aitiascope ) Going with my cynical headcannon reason where he's hanging with Thancred is that Thancred is the one watching him in case he easily falls into the same shit drama again. Thancred is very aware that there's the off chance Hylnyan might end up killing or maiming Urianger if such a thing repeats and his victim is her loved ones.

The other reason being that the only way he can get any info to my WoL is through Thancred, because Urianger had already lost my WoL's trust and she's no longer on speaking terms with him outside of work related fights.

Keeping in mind she comes from a hunting community, where one is likely to be working other hunters if one is hunting big or dangerous game. Therefore trust is important to her.

Or it any wonder that except for Thancred, the other NPCs don't really care if he drowned? Thancred being the only other adult male on hand to pull Urianger's ass out of the water.

There is nothing he can _say_ to fix their relationship. His words are lies and he's known to preach. Walk your talk, we'll see how he make amends Post EW. There is no free pass just because G'raha tricked him. is he truly that gullible?

And no I'm not going to write a making up fic without MSQ's direction. Not keen to go through that only to be disappointed by the next stunt he pulls.

Bonus

Estinien had some issue about Alphinaud throwing WoL at dragons, gods and monsters as the answer to everything. How much Estinien know of what went down in the First, when my WoL kinda gives a abridged version herself eating the Light without stating much of her feelings since the entire trip tires her out. He probably notice the group dynamics in terms of who she's close to and that's about it. Anything else is his discretion since game won't allow you to dump Urianger after Shadowbringers

On the subject of making amends. Catboy G'raha has been backing up with actions instead of mere words. My Miqo'te keep him at arm's length(pun intended) on account of G'raha being a male Miqo'te and their working relationship and his enthusiasm confuse her at times.

You do know how we get Zodiark, cause that's how we get Zodiark in the name of the greater good.

So if Emma Frost wants to go down this line. Someone has darker thought than I did.

Audacity/ Procrastination / Delusion

Lookswise is probably Coeurl crown (Coeurl mask smaller) ala deepgold wings of fending. Outfit is white gold version of ff14 initiate's vest with Mqio'te gloves and some kind of skirt-pants combo (proper Neo Ishgardian skirting thing dang it). From knees down its morphs into Coeurl legs. Left eye will be crackling with light since she's hiding it previously.

One pair of regular gold tipped white feather wings, one pair of blade shooting wings on account(lesser known rogue background).

Choice of weapon is one her signature bows Garuda (she gotten depressed after the Vault and uses it less in favour of Ifrit and later Byakko) with extra harp strings built in. In white and gold colours~~~~ Main defense is the looming shield in the background. That unicorn shield in white and gold.

Thancred and Alisaie will be the first to be turn by her unless Thancred manage to kill her mid-change. They are the closest to her.

And then Garuda and some bird theme sirens would love to have words with her for the audacity of a Miqo'te stealing bird themes.

*Her hair was turning white after taking on Lightwardens. That eyepatch never comes off now. It had started off a a glint of light and turned into a crackling ball of light by the time she faced Hades.

Coeurl theme is a Dark knight thing. Self worth issues to deal with. By higher levels when she's able to accept herself. Wyvernskin helm of fending aka The lion takes over and lets her channels her inner Hrothgar. I can do this with Gunbreaker at the moment, but its besides the point.

My Azem being named Helen (shining light, torch). My WoL’s name (Hylnyan, Non Miqo'te NPCs and I keep mispronouncing it as Hi-Nyan ) is a deliberate mispelling of my long time gaming/fic OC (the older sister/the senpai) to avoid the name of Halone. And the whole Halone incarnate thing, but then if she became a Lightwarden.

It ended up sounding close to Hydaelyn and Venat instead (I joined before Endwalker) . It amused me greatly that I stuck to the name. I would need to check how close I want to get to Venat.

At least her husband’s name is harder to use since it’s non Greek, guy is a Hrothgar in the form of Miqo'te, oh son of Jakka
