@haruspis has Doctor Who as his Halo replacement. @spartanlocke seems to have Transformers as their Halo replacement. This exchange seems to point towards the X-Men being mine. A certain AI with overlord ambitions could learn this lesson.
When it is 2017 and people still feel like they need to be offended on Chief’s behalf about Palmer joking about his height in Halo 4, is the franchise even worth defending anymore? Couple that with the sheer nonsense about Locke ranging for the objectively false (i.e. He is mean, rude, arrogant, etc) to the petty (How dare he go after Chief despite Chief going AWOL!?!) to the understandable yet quickly becoming petty well (He was underdeveloped therefore get rid of him and never allow anybody but Buck from Osiris to come back) and I don’t think so.
That feedback is evidently just as valid than any of the well developed criticisms of the franchise.
From the new Halo Community Update. I'd just like to point out that Frankie still is the master at talking about nothing given a lot of what he said leading up to Halo 5's launch. Course some would just call it straight up lying. Just saying.

I see a lot of Halo fans jump through some serious hoops to suggest Cortana has the logic plague in Halo 5 onward by making the Gravemind fan-fiction levels of overpowered. Like, I've seen people argue it PLANNED for Cortana to get into the Domain and then trigger a super-secret dormant (and canonically unsupported) version of the logic plague that took her over. Now I'm seeing people argue it took control of the Ark's portal system and somehow knew where the Spirit of Fire was and brought it to the Ark. Yet somehow with this Light Yagami-level of planning and power at its command...it was unable to take the Index from Cortana from Halo 2 and Halo 3 and we know it tries its hardest. Go figure.

If I ever have the chance, I would want to sit Frankie down and ask him how anything at the end of Halo 4 made what happened with Cortana in Halo 5 obviously clear. Don't know why this quote has been bugging me these past few days, but man it just does.
