she's just about there. penelope stands on her tippy toes, the heels helping not at all to add enough height for her to reach the shelf she needed. if her mama was present, penelope would be scolded for giving her focus to the walls of the library, instead of to those who stand around it. but she was not there, instead tending to her eldest daughters, which meant penelope had a few moments of peace. now if only she could reach... glancing up, an arm reaches over her, easily plucking the book from its spot. penelope turns, failing to hide her astonishment at the gesture, though she half recovers with a smile and bow of her head. 'mister baek! that was very kind, thank you,' gloved hand takes the book from his, the youngest featherington gaining a familiar panic whenever she was left to talk to someone, alone. 'it seems the shoes i am forced to wear give me little aid in my height,' she giggles, and then backtracks. 'well, i am not forced to wear them. i quite enjoy my shoes, i only meant - it would be nice to be able to reach the highest shelves, for once,' penelope closes her mouth and wills herself to stop rambling. she takes a breath.
