I mean it does but still. It’s worth reminding the audience.

Especially since it’s the last and sole survivor of the original twelve rings.

Sure the other Halo rings have stuff.

But Installation 07 needs all the really crazy shit.

I love that from the start, 343 through Blur hinted at the Halo stored in the Ark’s central forges. If you look closely at the opening shots of the Ark, you can make it out barely.

What I want to know is where the design for the Halo rings came from.

We know they were designed by Faber, the Master Builder. Yes. This is known.

But what served as the catalyst for that design process?

Aside from the one in Shadow of Intent.

I’m sure there must be a few. At least.

The novella and possibly the forerunner trilogy inferred this much.

I wonder what they’d be like.

Perhaps smaller, partially broken or unfinished?, maybe even more akin to the prototype ring seen in the 1999-era build of the first Halo game. That’s what I’d imagine.

Maybe the Order of Restoration would try seizing the others if they still remain.
