I wish we would get more Xenofiction that isn't just using constant violence and calling it ""dark"". Give me more traumatic messed up stuff please. Stuff that ruin my emotions and break me and make me terrified and THINK for once. Stuff that disgusts me, repulses me. Some horror...Anything. Also give it more complex characters and plotlines to go along with it.
The ONLY XF that has done this are the Duncton mole books, and I wish we had more like it. But I'm already writing my own messed up fiction, so I guess that counts for something.
