The music Noa had blasting in the kitchen echoed through the house, waking Hank from his long nap. He rolled out of bed after seeing that he’d overslept by an hour. Noa had either forgotten to wake him or decided he needed that extra time of sleep. Hank pulled on a sweatshirt before descending the staircase to the first floor. It was only then that he realized what song was playing.

His lips spread into a wide smile when he shuffled into the kitchen. Noa was still in her pajamas just like him as she danced by the stove where she was cooking their dinner. It had been fun, being able to spend the entire day with her, watching movies, eating junk food, and reminiscing about the two years they’d been together.

Noa bobbed her head as she spun in a circle, spatula still in hand. She skidded to a halt, almost thrown off balance by her slippery socks, when she finally noticed Hank watching her. He cocked his head,raising an eyebrow as he smiled down at her. Noa tried to purse her lips, but the urge to smile back at him outweighed her attempt to look serious. A soft laugh tumbled from her mouth as he closed the distance between them and grabbed her hand. She didn’t hesitate to spin into his arms, smirking as he leaned down to kiss her.

“You’re too damn cute,” he murmured against her lips.

“Fuck you,” she said, pulling back. With a wink, she turned her back to him to continue scrambling their eggs. Breakfast for dinner was one of their favorite traditions. “I’m as intimidating as you.”
