The school i will always choose...
Watched the final ADMU-DLSU game of the season last Sunday. As bad as I felt that we lost, i have to say, it was a well-deserved win for La Salle, and honestly not so unexpected. (Though i did find myself praying sooo hard and in distress during the last 2 minutes of the game.) OF COURSE I was still HOPEFUL, or else i should just burn my Ateneo diploma, right?! ;) But the archers did play well last Sunday -- only giving the eagles a few points lead i think once early on in the game, and then there was no more turning back for them. And though we had won 3 of the 4 games against La Salle prior to this one, I also knew that they always won the games that mattered (i.e. that game that gave them the twice to beat advantage) -- and this game that secured them the championship battle against UE is no different. But I give a heartfelt salute and solid pats on the back to each of the eagles for fighting hard and fighting with heart. They did overachieve...Ending up in 3rd place may be a bit disappointing, but it isn't bad at all. Though we didn't have that one STAR player that really stood out, we had many exceptional players who did their best, and did their jobs at the most crucial of times (I heart Chris Tiu. hehe.) -- which was more than enough to exceed most people's expectations at the start of this season. So even though we lost, Im still proud of the team, and Im even prouder to be an Atenean. Kasi nga, ANG SARAP MAGING ATENISTA! Went to the mass at the Gesu after the game, and just the feeling of such a solid school spirit was enough comfort to get over the loss and look forward to what appears to be a better year next year. (We still have an almost complete line up, losing only Ford and Zion -- that is, if Chris decides to stay another year. Oh please. Oh please! haha. and it looks like we have a very promising group of rookies coming in as well -- at least that's what coach Norman said.)
Anyway, i also wanted to share a pic my good friend (longest friend!) Jojo came across on Fabilioh.com. This was taken during the mass at the Gesu after the game. haha. I don't really like myself in this pic (I don't like my sideview - arte! haha), but the concept of the pic itself is nice.:) I was really praying intently here, ok? I didn't even know this was taken, I swear! haha.
ANYWAY...i do pray for an even better season next year. :) Championship, here we come! ;)ONE BIG FIGHT!
