How did you get your start making perler sprites? Honestly - I am not really sure what let me to start this hobby. I think I came upon the /r/beadsprites subreddit due to a random search and thought it was cool. I jumped right in and bought some boards and one of the themed buckets of beads - the pet one, I think. I made a Pokemon - it was terrible. Came out overcooked and missing 2 beads in the middle somewhere. I just kept making them, built up a bunch and opened an Etsy store to unload some of them.

What’s the piece you’re most proud of?

Probably the God Gundam. It was my first Gundam sprite, and I really like how it turned out with the clear beads making the halo effect.

Any advice for beginners?

Make what you like. Jump into it and make things that you want to make. Start with the finished product in mind first, then find the right sprite and don’t be intimidated by the size or complexity.
