The awakening

"Y Yuya" I pant heavily, sweat covering my body

"Yes, Haku?" His voices echo in my ear as I close my eyes tightly and scream

"WHY DID YOU BLEW THE A/C!" Currently the temperature outside is over 40 degree celsius and my dear Yuya accidentally use [lightning bolt] and blew up our only A/C

"I said I'm sorry!" He only wears his +6 Ancient Totem Trousers (Wise II) and no shirt while I wear +6 Ancient Totem Trousers (VIT II)

"At least we don't really have to go anywhere, right?" I ask and look at him from the tail of my eyes

"Well... I agree with my friends to go raiding with them..." He murmurs out and I sigh

"Let me guess, you said I'll bring my guardian friend with me" "I'm sorry" he looks away with a sad face

"Fine fine I'll go" I sigh and gets up and head for my gears before looking back at him "where are we going?"

He looks down to the ground and whisper the place I don't want to even go near at all "Dessert Dragon Nest"

~Nest~

I trudge through the thick layers of sand that starts filling my shoes and we just finished with the boat section. Being the guardian that I am I have to tank all the damage for my team and it's not helping with my current dilemma with Seleana on the team

"You alright Haku?" Yuya asks as he walks beside me and let other people run to the oasis to heal up

"I'll live..." That's all I said as I reach the oasis and sit down to rest a bit and listen to other plans on where to go next "we should go to Manticore first!" Newmai, shooting star, suggest

"No, we should do scorpion first!" Crusader, ๑Fender๑, argue

"Fire flower is better! We have higher chance there" Ikuto input

After a bit more arguing we start heading to scorpion first

After passing all other bosses with, luckily, no death, we continue on with me slowly following behind with steam coming off of my body "Haku...?" Yuya ask and quickly look away when I send him a deadly glare. We soon arrive at the arena where the dessert dragon appear. I provoke it and stay near the first totem and blocking and tanking the damage while others go and attack other totem. The first one went fine and no one was dead and so is the second one. However, two Seleana die on the third one. After finishing the totem part they start dishing out damages and the dragon keeps attacking me as I keep provoking her. Suddenly she leaps up into the sky and everyone start running away from the bombardment, sadly we lose our shooting star here. Then the dragon charge an area attack that we have to disrupt and although we manage to pull it off my provoke was disrupt and it suddenly turn around to attack our Tempest which results in another death. After that its just 4 cleric base class so everyone now is very tanky but not very much damage. Suddenly, everyone was stuck in the sand as the dragon jump, only me and Ikuto is able to break free but none of us is death and we gathered around to heal which put our health back to max immediately. Each time the boss use the area skill, although we manage to get the totem every time, the heat from it is becoming unbearable and sweat is donning all over my body sticking my clothes onto my skin. All these sands in my clothes are making me very uncomfortable, too. This keeps on going for over an hour and soon the heat is too much and I blackout.

~Yuya POV.~

I was dishing out as much damage as I can, even though its barely hurt the dragon, when I suddenly saw Haku stop moving so I call ๑Fender๑ to provoke the dragon when I go check up on him. When I get closer i could feel the heat emitting from his body "Haku?! are you okay, Answer me!" I go closer and shake him a bit when suddenly my skin crawl with fear and I jump back and dash away from him. "Yuya! What's wrong with him?!" Ikuto shout at me but I just keep backing towards one if the totem, scared out I my life. I watch as Haku's body straighten up before storing his wand and shield. "What is wrong with him?!" ๑Fender๑ asks, very confuse. I don't know how to answer that myself when suddenly there's a surge of power from him that push us all away from him. He's no longer the Haku I know, his hair change its color to pitch black and he now has black mist covering his hands, his face no longer passive but with a sly smirk instead. He walks toward the dragon and casts something I couldn't recognize and suddenly I feel my life being drained out if me. I take a quick look at our status and notice that there's an unknown buff with infinite time on Haku but three of us has unknown debuff instead and, judging from the look on their face, they can feel just like me. Haku cast other skills, each time draining me more of our life and enveloping him in dark mist. Suddenly he cast a skill that I can only make out the word "break" and suddenly he starts doing something similar to divine combo, but with much more damage and longer. Suddenly I hear a gasp of breath from Ikuto as he falls down and vanish with a stream of light. Haku attacks with more ferocity. I call down a healing relic and cast heal, which helps me survive longer for a bit as the dragon takes a huge amount if damage and unable to leap into the sky from constant stream of damage. I was on the brink of death, and so is ๑Fender๑, when the dragon gives of a loud roar and finally falls to the ground, death. After the countdown time was over everyone was resurrect and Haku suddenly falls flat to the ground and return to normal. After I make sure that everyone is okay, including Haku, I ask everyone to keep this a secret between the seven of us until we know what's wrong with him. We split our loots and part way as I carry Haku back to our house.

~Haku POV.~

I woke up with blurry eyes then I remember about the dragon and jolt awake looking around and cause myself to daze. When I recover I slowly take in the surrounding. First, I notice that I no longer in my raiding clothes and in my casual clothes. Second, I can feel the cool breeze and look to see that the A/C is turned on. Lastly, Yuya was nowhere in sight. "Yu...ya?" I call out weakly and I hear some shuffling from the next room and Yuya poking his head in "Oh Haku, finally awake?" He asks and come in with ice pack in hand.
