Nowruz means a "new day." It's an ancient Persian celebration for a new year, which happens to be the spring or vernal equinox in the northern hemisphere. It's being celebrated by a lot of countries that were a part of or were connected to the ancient Persian empire, like Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Iraq, India, and many more.

Sabzeh – sprouts, it represents rebirth. It reminds Ayatollahs and scares them of how Persian culture never died and will be reborn again.

Sih or apple, it represents natural beauty, something that the Muslims hate, like joy, women's hair, or freedom.
