Appearances are misleading;; Frey
✽— The final lantern flickered out, covering the city in yet another blanketing darkness known as night. During the night time the demons would lurk the city, resulting in most hiding in what was known as a safe base. Shizuru was completely aware of the possibility of the base failing yet still chose to stay in the old inn that was supposedly safe for the night. If this particular base did fail Shizuru would simply have to run rather than stay and fight. She was no coward, but facing a horde of night-demons and expecting to win was not bravery it was completely ridiculous and idiotic. Of course anyone at a base that fails would work together and escape. Shizuru had looked around the building already and found only a few other people in the building, none of who she spoke a word to. By now it seemed they were all asleep anyways, Shizuru figured if she stayed up longer any threat could be noticed immediately.
✽— The blonde haired girl started nodding off, and each time she was near falling asleep a demon trying to get inside the inn would wake her. They would brushed against the side of the building, scratch or moan at the building. Shizuru rubbed her left eye. The previous noises coming from outside the building seemed to have stopped. Had the demons calmed down for the night? That was unusual. If anything they must have been distracted. She peeked out a narrow crack in the wall. Although it was pitch black, Shizuru's near-perfect eye-sight could still see without difficulty. Her eyes widened when she noticed another person like her being attacked by a handful of demons and one large demon. She couldn't tell if they were struggling or not, but this person may be what had distracted the demons. Without another thought the girl grabbed her unsharpened dagger and another that was leaning against the wall that did not belong to her, and ran out the door.
✽— The only thing running through her mind was to help this person, even if they were a stranger. She couldn't just abandon them. He was quite some distance from the inn, however with her speed Shizuru managed to get there in no time. Despite her appearance and height, Shizuru's fighting style and skill was exemplary. Once the creature was in range the small-built girl jumped on the roof of a building and hurled herself at the larger demon's legs. Shizuru in a swift movement took out it's legs and allowed it to fall to buy time.
✽—The creature let out a muffled screeched as it fell to the ground. Shizuru shut her eyes and looked away from the creature, almost as if apologizing to it then did the same to a few other demons. "Hurry." she instructed. With those demons having been slowed down even if only for a short period of time he could get to safety.
