I love your art analysis! what are your thoughts HACCAN's artwork?
OH YES THIS ONE'S ANOTHER GOOD ONE.
I LOVE Haccan's artwork too. I know I keep saying I love all these artists' artwork but when they're so consistently putting out great quality, variety in characters, and great designs it's the only way I can really convey that I like their artwork.
They're a lot like Suzuki Rika in that their artwork is soft and pretty, but it's very distinct from Rika's artwork in the coloring style. Rika will use vibrant colors sometimes but Haccan always uses a nice soft shade for every character they draw. Even Hinoka's bright red hair is toned down enough while staying vivid and eye catching:
It's not distracting, and it blends perfectly well with the other aspects of her outfit.
The way that they draw women's faces is so doll-like and pretty, but still even fierce:
Oh, but my favorite piece of theirs? Nephenee:
Gosh seriously, look at her. She looks aquatic, almost. Like a beautiful betta fish. Part of this is criticism and part of this is praise, but Haccan's best work is with characters that utilize either shades of blue (Nephenee) or purplish white (Hair like Micaiah or Effie).
Oh, and they can also draw men, too! And men of very drastically different facial structures.
Hawkeye:
And Gharnef:
And their posework and anatomy is always on point, so no complaints there.
There's one minor criticism I have, and that references my statement above: Haccan's best work shines more when they work with blue palettes or white-hair palettes. I don't know what it is, but characters like Edelgard and Hawkeye don't look as visually appealing as their artwork for Nephenee, Effie, and Micaiah. The only red-based color scheme that looks appealing is Hinoka, and I think that's because there isn't too much going on with her color scheme, it's very strictly reds and pinks and gold. I think Hawkeye and Edelgard simply have too many various colors going on that make it hard to blend in that coloring style.
Honestly, Haccan is a 9.99999/10. I'd like to see more variety in the future but they're already such a talented artist. They could honestly be a book artist in the future.
