Dark souls 2 poise
So I've heard people complain about this before but never experiences a huge issue until yesterday. I'm doing some PVP at Belfry Sol and I get summoned to Luna to help. I normally run a medium armour with lowish poise (around 40) and ten extra thanks to stat investment, but this time I switched out for a poise machine, rocking 100 plus poise thanks to mastodon legs, gyrm everything else and a large club. So I enter and there's a dude with a twin blade, piece of cake, tank a few hits and Hulk smash. The first hit stuns me and he rips me apart like I was wearing lingerie. It was a massive WTF moment to me :/ Stupid game. So yeah, poise is a bit of a joke in DSII

EIGHT DAYS
He was a very simple man, the lonesome. His three main desires in life were many souls, companionship, and his drink. When he had first heard of a settlement of some sort of his people, he set out at once to reconnect with them. It was very rare for his people to make any kind of ties to the land as they were typically nomadic in nature.
On his long journey to meet with his people, the lonesome crossed paths with the bearer of the curse several times. Their first meeting stood steeped in tension. The cursed one had been crawling all over the land, indiscriminately killing anything that got in her way, and the lonesome feared for his life and hid off the path at the warf. None the less, the cursed was lured into his hiding place by the creatures of the night, and brought face to face with him. The lonesome managed to stumble through the native language, asking if the cursed would like to barter. And she happily obliged.
They met once again halfway through his journey to his people, and the cursed seemed almost happy to see him. How he wished to swap stories of travels with her, but he only was capable of a couple of phrases in the native tongue, and he highly doubted she knew any of the language of his people. But, when they could not trade tales, they were able to barter and exchange goods. The lonesome loved to see all the different artifacts of this world, and the cursed seemed to enjoy his fine craftsmanship and potent poisons.
After many days more traveling, the lonesome finally met up with his people in the great carved stone caverns they called home. But he was saddened to see that they had been spoken to by a false monarch, one of disease and vermin, and had fallen into servitude under him. When he attempted to talk to them and get his people to see how far they had fallen, they would not listen to reason, casting him out of their sanctuary. He stood at the entrance of their domain, crestfallen. His own kin, sunk to such low levels and then rejecting even one of their own. However, just as life seemed to be at its lowest for the lonesome, he looked up and couldn’t help but smile.
Standing across the room was a familiar face, and she wished to deal.
(15 of 366 God, this one came out so much sadder than I had meant it to. He’s my favorite NPC, by the way)

Gavlan has hosted shows in the past on Drangleic TV such as "Who's behind Lucatiel's Mask!?" and a brief co-hosting position with Titchy Gren on "Do You Lust For Blood?"
Unfortunately, after a fallout with Gren Gavlan decided to check himself into the No Man's Rehab Center to get himself clean.
After 4 months Gavlan checked out and is ecstatic to be hosting his own game show.
