Doc Doc is used to re-enact a renound folk tale in which a Gyb Wink makes the wheat dance to scare away a monster. The tiberts dance, while two of their chosen proteges play the role of the Gyb Wink's feet. A lucky stray is allowed to play the wheat kernel.
Doc Doc is both a form of combat and a dance. The sticks used represent the awns dropped by a special kind of wheat. They're like the cat version of a sticker plant. You know, the really awful kind.
I got through four before I lost momentum. I mix and matched things from the suggestions, rather than sticking to them word for word! Thanks all! I’d like to do more later.
All of these cats are gybs. They range in size from smaller than a human to a foot or two taller. I had to ask myself why would cats give up being strays to work day jobs and stress over the same nonsense we do. I don’t think I need a complex answer. It’s the same reason most humans don’t strip and go sleep in an alley. There’s also religion, which has a long history of pulling civilizations together, but I’ll touch on that later.
Gybs believe that all living things have a spark. They have a spiritual culture, but many think of their spark as a paint brush, and their body as a canvas! Curiously, they worship light, but not the sun. Sparks embody creation, imagination, light, and the color yellow. Their religion is tied to humans because they believe them to have brought art and individuality into their world.
