 Description: You´re pregnant and have thoughts about yourself, your husband, his job and your baby.

You look at the clock next to your bed. The green numbers on your clock illuminate your bedroom. You groan quietly, to not wake your husband, after you see that it´s only 4:46 am. This is the third night without enough sleep. You shift and smile at the sight of your husband of three years, George Washington.

He´s always a very busy man, especially since his company made him the boss of the association he´s working in. He loves his job, but is always stressed. Not that you complain or anything, you love each other and couldn´t imagine a life without the other. He wants to spend as much time with you as possible, even more since you found out that you´re pregnant. He even thought of going into paternal leave, but his firm wouldn´t allow him to. The only time he´s calm, is when he´s sleeping.

“Babe, you´re staring.”

You hear the sleepy, rough voice of your husband and get pulled out of your thoughts. You look away and blush, but see a small smirk forming itself on George´s face. He puts his arm around your torso and pulls you closer, carefully laying his hand on your slightly swollen belly.

“Sorry if I woke you up…”

You mumble into his chest, still blushing. You feel his chest vibrating at his soft laugh.

“You didn´t wake me. Why are you up already? ,” he asks.

You think about his question, before answering.

“I don´t know, I guess I just had so much to think about. You know… the baby, your job… actually, everything going on right now.”

He hums and pulls you even closer.

“You know, you don´t have to worry about those things, Y/N. C´mon, let´s try to sleep a bit more!,“ he simply says.

“Ok.”

He rubs your back to comfort you and kisses your forehead. You smile and put your hand on George´s, which is still lying on top of your belly.

“George?”

“Hmm?”

“I love you.”

“I love you too, Y/N. Both of you.”

With that, you fall asleep in each other’s arms.

A/N: So, this just popped in my head during project week (I don´t know if it´s project week in English, but it is in German, so yeah…) and I liked the idea. I´ll probably begin writing headcannons soon, so just send me an ask if you want.
