I always believed Annette set it up that way in the remake. The only reason the self-destruction went off was because Leon removed the (G)olgotha Virus and seeing how it caused the outbreak on top of the T-virus, which was developed from the progenitor virus. T is weaker, and G was the aggressive one. Birkin smashed up the G and T virus in the sewers when Hunk's team came to retrieve it, but really the outbreak had been going on since the RE1 game in the Arklay Mountains, but Leon removing the virus set off self-destruction, which I don't blame Annette for because look at what happened to Raccoon City.

Also, I believe even if it was a backup system, Umbrella would have killed the researchers anyway to keep things quiet and prevent evidence from getting out. Leon Claire and Sherry were going to die because Birkin was on the train; it was considered contaminated. The door locks when either player comes from fighting G last because he was still growing. In the original RE2, Mr. X was intended to destroy the lab, so whether he did it accidentally or not, he still did his job by setting it off in either scenario. Again I think Annette set it up to go off in re2 original and remake regardless if anything happened in the lab as a precaution. So to me anything could have set it off if the system was alerted. Claire was able to see Leon on a monitor due to motion detected.The system was set up to see any monsters and how critical things were before it set off Mr x just threw it over the edge.

Ada job was done RE2; the only problem was she needed to escape. Her mission was complete when she opened the locket in the sewer area and found out she had a sample of G, so she just needed ab escape. Leon gets the master key from Ada. Ada was coming to get Leon to escape before Mr.X threw her into the machine. so I don't think she is totally heartless because could have left him after getting the key but probably needed help getting the train going.

ClaireA and Leon B are canon, but both scenarios are canon to me because in the remake, Ada kisses Leon and falls. Claire and Leon still battle Birkin, and Mr. X; Just One deals more than the other. Claire never sees the alligator, and Mr. X gets split in two in her campaign, which I feel is a different X than the one Leon dealt with. Also, Leon still never meets Irons. In the original, Leon was in Ada's business. I replayed the original, and Ada was keeping distance. Leon just kept catching up to her, so in a way, the dude was not catching on that Ada had other things to attend to. She did say, "We will do things your way for now." before he got shot. In the remake, Ada definitely used him to a certain extent, and it was painfully obvious she was deceptive and not good at it. The kiss was reduced to a tactic to get Leon to do what she needed compared to the one in the original, which explains Leon's attitude in the RE4 remake.

If you play any Resident Evil, hard mode is the realistic mode. Hell, even playing Hunk's 4th Survivor mode is realistic to me; having limited bullets and very little room and hordes of zombies makes more sense. And it shows how critical it was for Sherry, Leon, and Claire to get out of the police station. When you go back to RPD to get the last pieces for either scenario, there is a cut scene where zombies is pouring out windows and lickers have shown up.They needed to get to the lab. Neither the lab nor RPD was safe, but I think the lab didn't get bad until the emergency locks were released, so then it got pretty bad. Being on the streets was suicide. If I had a pick from the RPD lab or the streets, I would pick neither, but at least in the lab I might have a chance to escape—just more B.O.Ws to fight.

I do think Ada could possibly have been infected in RE2 because Ada gets hit by Birkin on the train going down to the lab in both scenarios, and blood was drawn, so I don't know how she doesn't have a mutation seeing G is a strong-ass virus because Birkin even fatally wounds his wife, and Capcom was going to make her a boss but scrapped the idea, so maybe they might bring light to it in later installments or save that for another time, but most characters in Resident have been infected, including Leon, Claire, Rebecca, and Jill, and Ada was infected in the RE4 remake. I agree as well; they should have added how Ada escaped the lab.

They gave Hunk a mini game in the original; they should have given Ada a mini scenario for how She escaped the lab with the types of injuries she had on top of giving Leon a rocket launcher. I do feel the developer relies on graphics more than good storytelling nowadays. The RE2 remake wasn't bad, but to me they replaced the DLC with stuff I don't care about. Tofu and hunk scenarios are cool, but they should have added Adas as a bonus; people would have paid for it, but you can check out Resident Dark Chronicles or Umbrella Chronicles, and it talks about Ada escaping the city. That will give you a glimpse at how she survived.

Their meeting has been an inevitability. Shadow grabs his jaw and wrenches it neatly back into place, black tendrils growing from the skin and looping over the exposed flesh to stitch the massive wound Wesker had dealt him back together. Tendons in his neck are snapped back shut thanks to the nature of the virus he's been built with.

Jill Valentine had been on the run for two years , as of the morning.

It was only a matter of time before someone came looking. They already had, in more ways than one , but Chris isn't one she was sure she wanted to find. The two had history . . and Jill couldn't exactly just shove him aside like she'd done everyone else who got in her way. She was sure the B.S.A.A. had countless reports documenting her crusade, TRICELL doctors and their splinter groups demolished and found massacred, stolen information and gear, B.S.A.A personnel not entirely left unscathed — thanks to her childhood skills , Jill's campaign had been largely successful, all things considered.

She's not surprised to see him walking along the alley to one of her old haunts, a bar she used to frequent before she threw herself out of that window and changed her life for the worse. Watching from up on the rooftop of one of the buildings, she's coated in shadow, the night having fallen fast and hard. Jill's not particularly easily seen , maybe the faintest silhoutte against the lights at the bottom, against the sky, but she's wearing most of her thieving gear and concealing even more of her insurances. The ex-agent had been observing for a good few minutes , before she lets out a breath and speaks , her back against the edge of the flat roof.

"woah, hey hey, don't try and move just yet." the woman's attempts to stand were quick to regain carlos's attention, merely turning his back for a split second to reach for some nearby medical equipment. he hadn't any idea just who she was, or even if he was perhaps putting himself in danger by tending to her. in such trying times, it was every man for himself out there. but in this moment, carlos didn't care. "don't worry, i'm not here to hurt you, the complete opposite in fact."

She hadn't seen anyone else so far in this and she certainly hadn't expected to find a friendly face. Upon meeting his eyes, Della felt like her heart had just dropped into her stomach. The last thing she wanted was for anyone else she cared about to be found here. Slowly, she nodded.

there was a silent moment as alex's words finally relay on her and she isn't quite sure how to respond. this isn't the dance that claire really wanted them to do, this wasn't the dance that claire ever thought she'd have to do with a wesker again. a family that seemingly plagued her own family over and over again. and while the poetics of alex's words were similar to albert's she knew that the two of them weren't the same. much like she and chris had their own moments of being different.

the words aren't as harsh as she wants them to be - a part of her feels bad for alex, a part of her wonders if @gviirus could be saved from the same destiny that all of this cast upon her brother. claire wasn't even sure why she was hoping that it was possible.
