“If that is how you shall die, by my own lack of attentiveness, then let it be so. It is only fair that I should kill you once, too, hm?” Ages ago, the vampire would have said this with harsh bitterness, he would have thrown it at the former archangel as if his words were daggers. Vlad would want to hurt him, make him pay for all that he had forced Vlad to do. Now, it was spoken in tones that were only meant for a lover to hear. “That you would die for my love...for being without my love,” A delighted sigh exited Vlad, he was entertained by the passing idea, “I do like it.” His lips widened into a thoroughly wicked and handsome smile that touched the fine lines about his eyes while he savored the warmth emanating from Gabriel, wrapping about him like a blanket as those brawny arms kept him secured. “We have always been a shade tragic--” he stopped for being silenced by another kiss, a kiss tainted by the sheen of Gabriel’s blood that he broke his flesh for the vampire, and he sensed the large, burning palms down his back and finally grasping at his rear.Â
With a will of its own, the fallen prince’s body leaned into the hold. He allowed himself to feel weak for this, letting Gabriel, always the meek and honorable one to set aside his often reserved nature. Vlad knew it was there, still -- he had witnessed it centuries ago behind closed doors with Gabriel, both of them like two youths discovering something new for the first time and being thrilled by it, and kept it a secret. Until, as Vlad would forever believe, God intervened, meddlesome and selfish as He was. Gabriel may have been made by God, but he was Vlad’s since God decided to discard him, and the Church made it their mission to exploit him.Â
Precious, beloved Gabriel. This beautiful creature woven together, a product of the heavens, cast down to dwell on earth and be removed from glory, was now the vampire’s to adore. Vlad would adore him, give him the praise he was worthy of. “...don’t stop,” Vlad whispered, his hands pressed against Gabriel’s chest, curling at the fabric of his blouse, unaware that he was failing at hiding the desperation in his voice, his mouth open, waiting for another kiss.
