today was just... interesting.
to make this make sense, i'll start from last week when i was eating lunch with 4 of my friends.
on here, we'll call them sunflower, shark, avocado and peppermint.
sunflower and shark are both girls who i've known for a while and avocado and peppermint are boys who i met at the start of last year but began being friends with in september.
we were eating our lunch and avocado and peppermint were trying to guess shark's crush (which sunflower and i knew already) and avocado guessed it on first try.
sunflower and shark were telling me to tell the boys who i liked.
we'll call my crush glasses. i've liked him since 2021.
i asked sunflower if any of them were friends with glasses, and she told me that avocado was and that avocado wanted to be in his class this year. i didn't entirely want to tell the boys who i liked, especially avocado since he was friends with glasses.
avocado started guessing boys in our year who were the same culture as me, since he knew i didn't like white boys
i dont know how he does it, but avocado guessed who glasses was on FIRST TRY.
i was like "how???"
he had guessed shark's crush on first try and now me?
unfortunately, my secretive instincts came and i immediately went "ew, no!"
avocado laughed and simply went on to other boys.
i felt bad for lying, especially since i trust him and i didn't want to keep secrets from my close friends.
that brings me to today, when i finally decided i'd tell peppermint who i liked. he was soooo eager to find out
we went on a mini field trip to a plant nursery for science and i was talking to sunflower about her crush and i was talking about glasses.
peppermint and another boy who sunflower is friends with who we'll call shirt (help i didnt know what to call him) overheard our conversation and were asking who glasses was. (they already know sunflower's crush)
i was hesitant to answer because shirt was there and i dont know him as much which means i didnt know if he would tell anyone else.
i didnt tell them. peppermint wanted to find out so bad, he'd follow me everywhere so i could get annoyed and i'd tell him.
i was supposed to tell him in physical education class but i was with a girl who we'll call coconut. she doesn't know who glasses is, and she's not one of my close close friends (yet), so i didnt want to tell peppermint stuff she didn't know otherwise she'd feel left out.
i would tell her who i like, i'm just scared she'd go and tell her friends, who i was close friends with two years ago and they'd make fun of me.
that's one of the main reasons i'm always scared to tell, since when i started liking glasses, i was friends with this really toxic girl who really hated glasses. if i told her, she'd make fun of me.
anyways, i didn't tell him for another 2 hours and ended up telling him in fashion class. he had been bugging me all day to tell him, but it was never the right time with the amount of people around.
i was about to tell him, but then an annoying boy in my class we'll call lego kept on annoying us, saying we'd be a cute couple.
whenever lego says that about us, i always get pissed and make up an excuse. that excuse is normally "i already have a boyfriend so piss off".
once we had shooed lego away, i was literally a milisecond away from telling peppermint but then a sweet girl in my class asked me for help on the sewing assesment we had.
it was hilarious watching peppermint hit his head on the desk when i went to help the girl since i was just about to tell him.
i eventually quickly told him and all he said was
"who's that?"
i was like "seriously? i went through all that stress and anxiety just for you to not know who he is?" in my head, of course.
i told peppermint that i'd show him who glasses was tomorrow so he knows.
