Fate is definitely an evolving concept for her - which makes sense as a very young god who’s just starting to get tossed around in it. I think in her earlier years her concept of fate wasn’t very strong - that is, she never thought about it actively. It was something that existed but that she didn’t worry about. She did what she wanted to do and cared about people she cared about and never questioned if destiny had a hand in it or if she was defying fate.
I think when she really started to think about fate was when it actively begins to mess with her life. She wants to do something and through some twist of events even though she tries her best every time it simply never works. She wants to meet someone and through some twist of events even though it’s all relatively simple to meet them, she never does. Things slot in too late or too weakly. Then suddenly she comes to an abrupt head with the concept of fate.
It’s cliché, maybe, but she does believe in the concept of making your own fate. She thinks if she tries hard enough, if she holds out long enough, if she lasts just one more second - then maybe things will fall into place, maybe it’ll all be okay, maybe whatever hasn’t happened will finally happen. This is, however, set against her innate, ticking sense that it’s never going to happen - that fate is omniscient and all powerful and that she should give up because it will never amount to anything. When she wants something, she doesn’t care about fate - she will pursue it tirelessly and with her all anyway. But when she no longer wants it, when she’s tired, when she sets it down - then she’ll look at fate and think “oh, maybe there were many mistakes along the way, but also maybe it was just not meant to be.”
