in a pure 1v1 cu can wipe the floor with basically anyone bro, 1v1s against overwhelmingly stronger enemies are his speciality and especially if he gets to use his np without a care anyone who properly dies when they’re killed will get absolutely bodied. 

genuinely if this is a case of like throwing cu and another servant in a cage match without any plot that needs to be served cu’s going to win 99% of the time because he held the entire connacht army at bay by basically challenging them to a series of cage matches. shit dude he’ll win if its a 1v28 too that’s what happened with the clan calatin. cu can’t be hit by any projectile he can see or hear coming so you can’t take him down without coming into stabbing range. he’s effectively invincible when fighting on the defense and can continue to fight even with lethal wounds. his noble phantasm takes frankly outrageously little energy to activate and always hits unless the target has plot armour. in a fair fight this man is fucking invincible, that’s why he’s never granted a fair fight in canon ever

the primary 2 factors that could make it result in a loss are a) enemies that don’t die upon having their heart pierced b) cu wanting to fight more than he wants to win so he wouldn’t be going for the kill immediately. anyone who can’t outright nullify cu’s attacks will get their ass mounted on the wall YES that includes gilgamesh none of his thrown swords can even hit cu and gil is a bitch when it comes to martial combat YES that includes karna kavacha and kundala only reduces damage by 90% it doesn’t nullify it completely and it doesn’t protect against damage from within karna’s body so gae bolg will still hit and karna will get skewered by its exploding barbs from the inside. achilles will probably also die bc there’s mythological precedent for gae bolg killing someone with impenetrable skin (rip ferdiad) but akhilleus kosmos can defend against it because it’s basically a shield made of plot armour. scathach whoops cu’s ass bc she cant be killed and has more martial skill than him. king hassan bodies him for the same reason. herc bodies him because cu doesn’t have the raw stats to get through god hand. cu himself says versus sasaki might be tricky because he has no plot armour of his own to defend against tsubame gaeshi so he’d have to start the fight out with his own “i win” button. versus bazett it’s mutual destruction because they override each other’s “i win” buttons. you get the idea.
