I started playing guitar when I was 15, and I played pretty consistently (a few times a week) from then until I was 19. During the Covid lockdown, my playing slowed down. And I have only played my guitar a handful of times in the last 4 years because of so much time spent away from home and I didn't move my guitar with me.
I'm finally getting back into it. I'm getting some maintenance on it right now but will be taking it home tomorrow or Saturday.
What I wanna know is this: Would ya'll be interested in me sharing guitar covers once I get my skill back to what it was before?
(I usually play lots of Rammstein, Gojira, and Ghost songs. But my goal now is to learn classic rock songs [starting with Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd] and 80s metal, like Iron Maiden and Metallica).
I am open to song suggestions. I just prefer that its in the rock/metal realm. If you wanna request a song, feel free to leave an Ask at any time!
I'm not emotionally attached to this whole controversy with Fender and their delusional cease and desist bullshit, but I am amazed while watching it from the sidelines.
I don't really understand why companies seemingly go out of their way to ruin their brand's image with bad decisions. There's literally no point in Fender trying to sue other guitar companies for "copying" the Stratocaster body shape, other than the private equity is greedy and stupid and detached from reality.
Guitarists are not confused by what brands they're buying from. If I go to Guitar Center and buy a PRS Silver Sky, I KNOW it's not a Fender Stratocaster. The fucking headstock says it's PRS and the body shape is not exactly the same. The brilliant minds at Fender are just insulting guitarists by going "Oh you're just confused sweetie :("

Chat, do I learn how to solder to replace the pickups on this shitty amazon guitar and fix the output jack?
Also thinking of replacing the tremolo block, replacing the nut with bone, replacing the strings, and maybe getting a different pick guard (I feel like a checkerboard patterned one would look cool).
Dahlia's bottom E string broke so now I got a 5 string guitar till I get my ass off my bed (not likely), get that ass to the store (even less likely) and get off the bed again to fix the damn thing (nearly impossible atp)
So yeah, 5 strings from now.
(After I remove the broken one which... not likely)
