Blake might've thought she was being stealthy these past few days, but Ruby had caught her sneaking around several times, and she wanted to know what Blake was hiding.

So when Blake excused herself from the lunch table that day, saying she'd forgotten something back in the dorm room, Ruby decided to follow after her a few minutes later.

What she found was Blake tiptoeing into the room, pulling out some spare tuna from her blazer's pocket as she went to her bed and pulled out a small box with an open top.

Ruby jumped in just then.

"Aha! Caught you red-handed, Blake!" she declared, rushing into the room. "Now fess up your secrets or-" 

She stopped, peering down over her surprised teammate's shoulder to look down into the box.

Four small kittens were curled up sleeping, but mewled pitifully when Ruby's voice woke them.

"Blake..." she mumbled. "You..."

"Ruby... I'm sorry," she apologized. "But I found them abandoned and I couldn't just-"

"Blake!" Ruby cut her off. "You can't just keep them under your bed! We should keep them out in the room where they can run around and play, silly!"

Blake was dumbfounded, but realized she had foolishly been excepting Ruby Rose of all people to scold her for keeping kittens.

"Hey, Zwei!" Ruby called to the dog sleeping on Weiss' bed. "Come meet your new friends!"

They all played with the kittens and fed them the tuna, and Ruby ran off to get some milk from the cafeteria as well. Yang and Weiss came back to the room a while later to see what had been keeping them for so long.

I really like this idea but I think yang and ruby would be accused of murder alongside other crimes (that they did do)themselves but that's my opinion

Yeah, I guess I didn't really flesh them out enough.

Basically both sisters work within the family and so would be involved in various different areas, a number linking in with the other characters which could be explored. But in the end it was in the events surrounding Summer's murder that they got caught.
