I swear I think we get some of the roughest guitars in the country and for refinishing....... I speculate it’s because nobody else is willing to fall with them LOL. Here’s another guitar that came in to us that needed to be resurrected from the grave......a vintage Guild Starfire. These are the AFTER photos. See the previous post before this to see the BEFORE photos. Every now and then - once in a blue moon and when the planets align just so - a guitar does actually leave the stable. I know, crazy, right??! 😎 Lots to talk about re: this super-early Guild Starfire III-90 - this instrument appeared in Frontline and graced the home page of the Guild website for a few years. The neck pickup mounted flush to the neck heel is indicative that it’s among the earliest Westerly-built examples of the model. The thing plays beautifully. But ...
