by starlight - BâElanna/Seven/Harry/Tom | Star Trek Voyager | teen
written for round 24 of @trek-rarepair-swap â for @guardianofdragonlore â. (thanks for being so patient!).
Being with Tom was unexpected. She might have remotely believed that theyâd be a thing, years ago. Harry and Seven, well, that was beyond understanding.
That was where the fun things happened anyway.
Tom claims he goaded her. Over breakfast, stealing a bite of Harryâs toast, he insists that he got her by appealing to her Klingon competitive side.
It has nothing to do with the soft golden curls of Sevenâs hair loose on her shoulders or the way her eyes catch the light when she smiles. The smiles are as rare as Harry being forward in bed, but both have happened. Tom plays with Harryâs ear and steals more of his toast, then laughing, they kiss, easy and soft.
Seven watches as if theyâve taken apart an atom in front of her, as if theyâve split a photon.
Reaching across, BâElanna caresses her face, strokes her cheek, then her chin. âHow was your experiment?â
âBeyond my expectations.â Seven flushes a little.
BâElanna runs her fingers down Sevenâs neck, stroking the faint marks she left with her teeth. Luckily, Seven doesnât mind a little Klingon aggression. âWell, youâll have to come up with some better expectations before we run it again.â
âDonât you think this should involve some more empirical research?â Harry teases, touching her shoulder.
âIâve heard all really good experiments need to be repeated, just to make sure of the results,â Tom adds, beaming over the toaster. His hair stands every which way, mussed and full of dried sweat.
Her own must be just as bad, curlred and kinked, frizzled from the pillows and the sheets and the wall. She shivers, remembering the wall and Tom's hands, Harry's mouth and Seven's eyes on her skin, listening to her breath.
The have to do this again.
Not just the sex, which was incredible enough that she's still light headed just thinking about it, but the flirting and the cheap beer and the bad movies.
Forgetting all about the blob monster because Harry's lips were on her neck and Tom's hands keep walking up her thigh and Seven--
Seven straddled her like a Kohlar beast.
Of course she wouldn't have boundaries, she'd read all about sex before experiencing it; she was pushy and rude and determined and dammit.
"I'm free in six days, too many bridge shifts until then," Harry offers, putting more bread in the toaster. Earnest, eager. She could bite that smile off his face.
"We know, we know, the burdens of third shift command."
"Better him than me," B'Elanna mutters.
"I thought you enjoyed being in charge," Seven asks with false innocence.
"Seven has a point, you love telling us what to do." Tom leans in and kisses her, smirking. "Maybe I should book the holodeck, we can take turns being the captain."
"Sex on the bridge, that's one of your fantasies?"
"And it isn't one of yours?" Tom shakes his head. "Harry, please. We all know what you think of the captain's chair."
"You're not using your imagination."
"That's Captain Janeway's seat."
"That's part of the allure," B'Elanna mutters into her napkin. Seven, with her perfect Borg hearing, raises an eyebrow.
"You can't tell me you haven't-" she starts, trying to ignore the burning of her neck. "The captain's very beautiful."
"Intelligent," Tom adds. "That's the real turn on for you, isn't it?"
"It doesn't explain why I'm with you," she shoots back, patting his shoulder to lessen the blow.
"I appeal to your reckless side," he retorts. "That fly by the stea of your pants, engineering miracle worker side."
"The captain," Harry repeats, "Really?"
"Well, if I remember right, you actually did."
"Being a lizard doesn't count."
"Still doesn't count unless I was at least a mammal."
"You certainly seem to lack the kind of mental capacity found in most higher mammals--"
"I wanted to engage in the flirty banter." Seven sets down her coffee. "I assumed it was foreplay."
Laughing so hard she nearly snorts her coffee, B'Elanna grabs Sven's hand and kisses it. "You are correct." Teasing Tom is always foreplay."
"Good. I look forward to the verbal sparring, and the sex."
"It was pretty good sex, if I say so myself," Tom says, shameless.
Harry grins. "You would say that."
"Don't remember many complains when I was--"
"No," Harry leans over and kisses him. "No complaints at all."
"Finish eating," B'Elanna insists. "You'll need your strength."
Maybe the holodeck isn't such a bad idea after all.
