With these two, Kairi and Kaede, it's the opposite. They were never rivals but life around them pushed them to be and part ways, though they never managed to become true rivals, it never worked for them

That's why they are called gyaku soukoku (gskk) "reverse rivalry"

They just don't work like that, even if they tried, they don't work to be a soukoku

The one in blue is called Kairi Kaizu (and it is actually my girlfriend's OC lmao)

He's ftm (as well as the one in red, Kaede) and has been in the mafia almost since he was born... Not working directly but his parents were affiliated with the mafia. As a kid he actually took care of the old boss because of his ability, his parents practically sold him to the mafia once they discovered their child had one- Lil Kairi wasn't happy with that old man having him like a nurse, until Mori took the place and Kairi became papa's boy (from all the children Mori had "taken care of" Kairi is the only one that actually likes him lmao, nowadays he's still Mori's prince)

And Kairi doesn't have much trauma or lore besides that and... Well, Kaede (that ginger)

It's actually funny because all his character development is because of Kaede 😭🙏 they met when they were children, Kaede 10 years old and Kairi 11, just a couple months or even just weeks after Kaede joined the mafia. Kairi was the one to reach for Kaede and take him with him like a stray kitten 🥺 because Kaede was literally a scaredy cat back then, he was always behind Kouyou and didn't let go of her hand in MONTHS. Until Kairi came and adopted him like the extrovert he is with lil Kaede a complete traumatized introvert

ANYGAYS I mean ANYWAYS they were too cute together fr... Had a hidden garden where they played, Kaede helped Kairi messing with Dazai (Kairi and Dazai DESPISE eachother and they're quite similar in personality.... But Kairi is more of a silly lil guy and crybaby), both followed Chuuya as soon as he joined because Kaede looked up at him (still does) and Kairi had a small crush on him (ended up crushing WAAAY harder on the other ginger ahemKaedeAhem) and when they were teens they were just... Teenagers with a situationship because both didn't know what the other felt (Kairi fell first, definitely) AND THEN SOMETHING HAPPENED AND THEY FELL APART AND DIDN'T TALK RO EACHOTHER IN TWO YEARS AND SUFFERED EVERY DAY BECAUSE WE LOVE ANGST 🔥🔥
