Hello 👋 it's just popped into my head after your latest page, is Loss meant to have the skull of both a stag and a doe? I see one side is missing an antler, but also the pedicle that it would have grown from. Are all of the gods meant to be gender/sexless or is this a choice specifically for Loss? It has such a cool design and I'm so glad to have noticed that detail.

We know Helevise pretty much never took the girls seriously, but it kinda makes me wonder what, at least from her point of view, makes one a good candidate to be a Godcaller? Obviously not just folding immediately when someone tells you to smoke your Halv, for one lol but

I imagine this may have been asked before so sorry if it’s a bother, but I read in one of the asks that all cervidae can talk to each other. I was wondering if they could talk to other hooved mammal though? Since most are closely related. Like could they hold a conversation with a bison or boar? Or is that a different language to them like it would be with predatory animals or how they can’t understand rabbits or birds/halves? (from what I understand).

Something that I really liked about this most recent chapter is how you drew the wolves. They are just animals as much as the deer and the birds are, they're hungry, they're living their lives. They are not evil caricatures of themselves. They are drawn in the same style as the deer, they are round in their winter coats, their colours are varied. And I think that makes their role in the story hit harder and feel more grounded almost? Than if they were pointy evil shadow monsters or whatever. They're just fellow animals, ones Antaras allied with through communication instead of the summoning of demons, to carry out a bloody plot, animals through and through

I apologise in advance for not knowing how to word this more clearly but here it goes: Does each species have its own language and so they do speak to each other "like humans" within their own kin but can't understand other species, or are deer in this world the more advanced species and the rest are "beasts" and more primitive? I hope that makes sense.

Hi, I just wanted to ask, what do halves do when their owner (if you can say it like that?) dies?

I don't know if this has been asked yet, but since there are albino deer in GS, what about melanistic deer? If they exist, what would they be called?

When a Halv dies, the deer continues to live but becomes sterile, right? Do halves die within the same span a regular bird of their species would, and does their time to have fawns depend upon that?
