This weekend was as amazing as it was inspiring. I attended a release for the debut limited edition print issue for Bronx Narratives, an online magazine focused on highlighting The Community of The Bronx. The event was held at the newly opened, Gun Hill Tavern in Port Morris, South Bronx. Funny enough, I was around that area earlier with a friend, when we heard about the event, we Ubered our way up to Gun Hill Brewery, only to realize this was the wrong location. I was tired and hungry but couldn't quite bring myself to calling it a day. I suppose it was a mixture of curiosity and Bronx-pride that took the wheel and now in retrospect, I would have thoroughly kicked my own ass had I passed it up. We arrived late but got to meet some dope creative people doing some awesome things, not only for themselves, but in representation of the borough. From Annie Legnini's BRONX FACES Project to being introduced to the Grullon Siblings and their clothing brand,Bronx Native--shit was lit!
