My Truths: So I recieved a message from someone who is upset because they feel leaders and Pastors who don't talk about their struggles are fakes. Because this subject doesn't get clarified enough, I wanted to take a moment and be transparent and address this subject. 1. Please pray for your leaders and pastors because they are the biggest target of attacks. 2. Leaders don't talk about their issues with everyone because we take it straight to God and sometimes a specific few. 3. Iron sharpens iron. In midst of our worst, we let God send divine appointments to speak into us, we don't go hunting down advice. (We are still, because we know He is God and in control and our hearts desire is to seek His direction). 4. Leaders understand that everything we have is borrowed and we choose joy even when things don't go our way. We have been stripped down and rebuilt again so many times that it's become a natural process. 5. We don't blame God when people come against us. We understand seasons, spiritual warfare and the importance that each person needs to walk in their own identity and gifts BUT do it in order, where it doesn't cause hurt and chaos. 6. A mature leader acknowledges pain and struggle, we just choose not to stay there. The word instructs us to focus on what is good, positive and uplifting. At times this means seeking God to stir up our own gifts and zeal. We don't depend on others to be our cheerleaders in order to stay the course. With this said, I hope this clarifies for some people why Pastors and leaders don't talk about our struggles and problems. Yes, we need prayer! Yes, we have hard days that are heartbreaking! Yes, we face pain just like everyone else does. It's not that we fake it. We just choose to let God be God, stay focused on our assignments, help those around us grow in their own walk, and be obedient. It's not about being perfect, it's about honoring God in excellence.
