However as stated the photographs themselves were well received, one getting a cool comment of it looked as if it had been a screen grab from a game or show through the use of editing and cropping that I had used. I received some good ideas on how to continue my project but unfortunately most did not match what it is that I am trying to achieve. As mentioned in my last post I am creating photographs that look at the identity of the CHARACTER not the cosplayer. This is because I feel that the character's can be far more interesting to look at and think about what they represents or are from than looking at some one quite clearly in costume/cosplay. As much as this is initially what I am actually doing, putting the model into a location that is unique to their character at the time makes it about the character and not about them.  One thing that I will have an issue with is getting it slightly understood that I am not making this series to be seen by loads of people like my band photography is, it is more important for me as a growing photographer to use these photographs to help build a presence and many relationships within the cosplay community so it is for them as a target audience that I am baring in mind throughout this assignment.
