A new adventure… one thing… I’m good at shiny object syndrome as there is always so much to learn and explore. It’s exciting and fun to go on a new art adventure…there are so many projects in my little studio as I move from one opportunity to the next. So how can I commit to completing and sharing consistently? I thought I’d go small and see where it led… starting by working on the backgrounds of multiple panels…( see previous video) and then I kept straight into another new thing…so I’m going to see this through with your help… For the next couple of months my big focus is a series of small diptychs and triptychs. They are my learning curve as I step back and work on a new collection. This time I’m setting the deadline and will do my first artist launch in October. That means that each week I intend to complete at least 3 of these multi panelled pieces. They are small… 8 x8 inches… and each one is designed to work alone as well as within a series. I would love your support on the journey as this is a new learning. Really telling you this is me tricking my multi tasking mind. If I ask for help, it helps me commit to you… I’m great at committing to other people but not so much to myself. If you have read this far, thank you in advance… it means so much. These art stories are about connecting with nature and the beauty and wisdom of our sacred Earth. They are about finding balance in all the different areas of our lives so we can honour our world and the energy and emotions that surround us. They remind us to reconnect when the world can feel so disconnected and to be that present in the moment. Nature is the place that restores my soul when life is overwhelming…I hope these small pieces offer a space to connect and heal as we find our way through.
