It sounded like a good idea at the time, listening to Ariela give her the run down on exactly why they had enough time to grab a few things before the mist worsened and they were caught in between the shop and home again. She believed her. ( when didn’t she? ) Though that didn’t make it any easier to keep from fidgeting and wishing that she had something to calm her nerves, whether it was medicinal or otherwise as she walked down another nearly empty aisle in search of supplies as well as her friend.Â
The other was more likely off making a scene, one that endeared others to her charm and quick wit while Danielle preferred to keep the attention off of her in moments like this, rather than be recognized from work and trapped with a regular at Fairy Tales. “Ari?” She called out, ducking into another aisle in search of the other as she glanced towards the glass windows out front and saw the sky significantly darker than moments before.
“We should leave soon.” Or now, but the worry was rising with every second as she chewed on the inside of her lip before she grabbed a box of cereal off the shelf and into her bag. “I don’t know if we’re going to find everything we need today.”
