Hawk has been corrupted by the Grimm, this has happened by way of the Grimm Virus. He wakes with having very little memory of who he is, not even his name. This is due to how fiercely Hawk had fought against begin turned into a Grimm. The only things that Hawk does remember is a blonde woman who fights with her fists, AKA Yang.
Hawk has of course mutated into a Grimm Hybrid but shows a surprising amount of humanity dispite this, however his loss of memories also comes with a small loss of morals, as he shows little to no problem with killing people just for getting in his way. His Grimm Type is that of a Griffon, and he has grown a pair of wings from his back, when he isn't flying he wraps them around his body like a cloak.
He has lost his main weapon from when he was human and has not really had a desire to aquire a new one, instead he uses his newly grown claws in addition he'll use his feathers like throwing knives.
His past is gone, all he has is to look to the future.
