Green Charge’s GridSynergy storage system was recently installed at the University of Hawaii Cancer Center and @UHMedHawaii. It will help the schools save money by reducing “demand charges,” which is the extra cost such customers pay based on highest one-time use of electricity in a month, not just total use. Through this project, stored energy can be pulled from the “battery” to shave that demand peak and avoid the demand charge. Read more in our latest blog post at medium.com/@PoweringHawaii.
