It started with Duskwood in World of Warcraft, then an idea about children growing up in an isolated castle beset by wargs. Eventually, it became a retelling of lesser-known Grimm’s fairy tales and a message about love, death, and finding home. I think of this as a fairy tale for myself: dark but hopeful, gloomy but comforting, like sitting beside a fireplace, eating warm bread, and listening to stories while a snowstorm brews outside. .
