“What the fuck does that mean?”

When Gavin got a phone call from Peter, he was tempted to immediately answer it. But, he stayed strong and let it go to voicemail.

The voicemail simply said, “Gavin. I’d like you to come over. That is all.”

“Nice message,” Gavin said when he called Peter back. “Real thoughtful and poetic. How could anyone resist?”

“You called me back immediately,” Peter pointed out.

Gavin had the urge to hang up, but instead he said, “You come over here. My house is better than yours.”

There was a long pause. Gavin almost caved and said that he’d come over. But, finally, Peter said, “That is acceptable. I’m… about seventeen and a half minutes away.”
