Hi, I know it's you Oliver..
What do I think about Greed (Green x Red)..
Personally, it's one of my favorites out of the bunch. ^^ The dynamics between Green and Red are so glossed over in the manga it should be a crime that people aren't making a big analysis on the two of them.
I've said this before as a drive for my green dies au COUGH- but Red, throughout the entire manga mind you, seems to look up to Green the most. While you could argue the scene where he respects Vio could also be him looking up to Vio, Red respects a lot of people, but it's a lot more noticeable with Green. Like- Green is always the one looking out for Red, especially when Blue gets onto him. He called Blue out on his behavior, what is there to not admire about his leader?
This especially when it comes to that scene where Red is just broken over the thought of Green being dead, yeah- he mentioned Vio too but he had literally just seen him and believed that was the real Vio. He hasn't seen Green anywhere whatsoever. To think the one thing that gave you hope and a drive to keep going had been possibly taken from you? Yeah, that hurts more than what one would like for it to.
The way I see it, I think while Red may be the one to crush first, Green's crush on Red isn't hard to miss either. Red is probably the one he gets close to the easiest just because of his welcoming nature in general. Green struggled with accepting the fact that yeah, he was a selfish, egoistic little punk that thought he could do everything on his own. Bringing up the boat scene, Green was more inclined to listen to Red's judgment mainly because he'd probably trust him more over Blue's attempts at controlling where they go.
They're each other's backbones- Green is there for Red and Red is there for Green.
Funfact, when they get separated, the first names they call out to are each other's. "Didn't he say Vio's name first?" The manga is read right to left. 😈
